To continue our celebrations of Female Football Week 2024, our GSAP and Youth Girls programs enjoyed a joint training session together on Ian McLennan Park on Wednesday night.
What a wonderful sight to see all our junior female players training together from age 9 through to 16 learning the game and having fun on the pitch!
We also had a special guest appearance from Sydney FC A-League Women’s player Caley Tallon-Henniker. Caley took the time to chat to the girls about her footballing journey, taking photos, sign some autographs and show off her shiny A League Women’s Grand Final Winners medal. Caley spoke to the girls about her time as a Flame GSAP player, what inspired her to play football and shared some words of wisdom for our future stars. We want to thank Caley for being a fantastic role model and example for our little sparks! She is an inspiration for all our female players and coaching staff, a shining example of where hard work, dedication and passion for the game can take you. We look forward to continuing to follow her amazing footballing journey and are excited to see what the future holds for her.
A huge thank you to our GSAP TD Ryan Trevor and Lachlan Raymond TD for Youth Girls, for coordinating the joint session and organising this wonderful experience for our girls. We are so proud to have quality players and professional coaching staff bringing passion and fire to the Flame each week!
