We are delighted to announce our 2020 senior men’s team Head Coach – George Kulcsar.

George takes over from Neil Mineeff who did a remarkable job taking over early in the season and overcoming a shaky start guiding the team deep into the playoffs. Neil has decided to take a break from coaching for personal reasons and we are grateful for his professionalism and dedication during his time with the club.

George boasts a very impressive playing record having started his senior Australian career at the AIS Canberra (86’) before moving to Sydney to play in the National Soccer League (NSL) with St George Budapest (87’). A talented defender, George moved overseas spending the next 5 years (92’-97’) at Royal Antwerp in Belguim’s top division. He played 66 games for the Belgium giants. During this time, George had the honour of playing for Australia three times.

In 97’, George took his football career to England where he played the next four years at Bradford City (27 caps) and Queens Park Rangers (56 caps) along side some big names.

In 2005, after a stint as the technical director of ANU Football Club, Kulcsar was appointed as Southern NSW Football’s full-time coaching development manager and we are super excited to have someone of his calibre coaching our youthful side.

In other coaching news, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Stan Pappas as coach of the Under 18’s. Stan has been part of the Football South Coast Program for several years and is a highly respected coach in youth circles.

Michael Panozzo took over the reigns midway through last year following Neil’s appointment to First Grade and he continued where Neil left off and the team was extremely unlucky not to have made the playoffs.

The players have gathered already for a bit of a kick around in preparation for what is going to be the club’s biggest year to date in the newly reformed NPL4 competition. We hope to be announcing our retained players and new signings over the coming weeks.
