13 Boys: South Coast Flame 6-0 Mounties Wanderers
Another impressive display from the boys today in a resounding 6-0 victory, continuing on our great form of late and once again not conceding a goal in last four weeks.
Dylan Rodrigues continued his great scoring form of late with a first half hat-trick with some excellent lead up work from a few boys.
Lewis Tomlinson got on the score sheet early in second half after Lucas Tancevski hit the post from distance.
Lucas then added two himself with a superb header and then a penalty to round off the scoring.
Continue the good work boys. Well done.
Player of the week: Lucas Tankevski
Created chances for others and scored a great header that any striker would have be proud of.
14 Boys: South Coast Flame 2-1 Mounties Wanderers
Flame started with good intent, creating threatening opportunities early on.
Set pieces were a constant danger for Mounties, and we capitalised early on when a set piece at the back post was bundled over the line by Ollie Green.
Flame had the better of the half, however execution in the main moments saw opportunities go by them. Defensively, we remained strong with Mounties only half chances coming from free kicks which were dealt with by Brody Gardiner and Kiran Dhami.
The second half followed like the first with Flame’s playing style showing dominance over Mounties, however final execution let the boys down. Dylan Rodrigues got in behind the defence and cut it back for Ben Parry who made no mistake to make it 2-0.
Flame remained comfortable however a lack of concentration in the back third saw Mounties gifted a free kick which they scored from to make it 2-1.
Mounties pressed by the Flame defence stood tall and saw out the game 2-1 winners, reversing the result from round one.
Player of the week: Gabriel Corvalan
Gabriel worked hard in defensive moments and remained calm with the ball, executed player tasks and team tasks to retain possession and keep it simple. He moved the ball well which led to numerous opportunities to attack the opposition, and controlled the middle of the park by organising his defenders around him.

18 Boys: South Coast Flame 2-0 Mounties Wanderers
It was an exciting day when the 18’s played at The Furnace on Sponsor appreciation Day, so a big crowd had gathered and were geared up ready to support our boys.
The Mounties looked calm in the first half, taking shots on goal and moving the ball around. There was an overabundance of free kicks awarded both ways, so the game at times was very stop and start.
It was in the 20th minute that Zac Birch took a free kick from outside the box, slipping to Antonio Sansone down the left side who crossed to find the head of Will Aston, directing into goal for Flame to go 1-0.
The Mounties then started to increase their physicality in the game, and several huge hits were taken by our team. Mounties had a couple of chances to score but were thwarted by excellent saves courtesy of keeper Matt Gazivoda.
The 18’s Flame boys look dangerous at times too, and in the 82nd minute Jay out-skilled his opponent on the left flank, finding some space before crossing close to the by-line. An advancing Jyden Harb finished cleanly to double the lead. It remained 2-0 until full time and we finished on a high with a win!
The game was far from free flowing but Flame did well to control the tempo in the latter stages, which is testament to the defenders and midfielders. Next week we travel to the Central Coast in what should be a tough match.
Player of the week: Antonio Sansone
Excellent performance with an assist and consistently threatened the Mounties defence.
