South Coast Flame faced Mounties Wanderers in the opening round of the FNSW Youth Boys Two competition.
U13 Boys | Mounties Wanderers 0 South Coast Flame 6
First game of the season for the boys and they certainly did not disappoint, coming away with a 6-0 victory over Mounties.
A positive start from both teams, went from end to end in the first 15 minutes, which saw us take the lead through a Kingston Obednikovski cracker from 30 yards into the top corner of the net.
Harvey Gottlieb then scored another spectacular goal minutes later.
Dylan Rodrigues then got into the action with a great goal just before halftime, that really saw us dominating all over the park and Mounties continually getting frustrated with our play and passing around the park.
Second half, almost like the first with us on the front foot and dominating all over the park.
Goals to Issac Papakosmas, Lucas Tancevski and Lewis Tomlinson rounded off a great result for us in our first competitive game of the season.
Strong performances by all. Well done boys.

U14 Boys | Mounties Wanderers 3 South Coast Flame 2
A cheap turnover in our back 3rd saw Mounties turn a counter attack into an early lead, scoring from range after five minutes.
Flame struggled to maintain their rhythm and fluid attack.
As the game went on South Coast grew in confidence and eventually landed an equaliser just before halftime through Ashton Grace.
The second half started similar to the first.
Another turnover higher up the pitch lead to a long ball that wasn’t dealt with properly and led to their striker finishing a one-on-one against Deakin Henry.
Flame hit back 10 minutes later, some nice combination play down the left led to Ashton Grace grabbing a double tapping in from close range.
Only a couple of minutes later, after failing to clear the ball three times in the box, Mounties smashed home the third goal.
As the game went on and Flame pushed some rough decision making, execution and lack of composure left the side with a 3-2 loss to start the competition.

Executed his player tasks well and worked hard for the team.
Rewarded with two goals for his efforts and focus.
U15 Boys | Mounties Wanderers 2 South Coast Flame 3
The Under-15 boys started the season with a come from behind 3-2 win on the road.
After failing to match the intensity and pressure from Mounties, Flame found themselves 2-0 down after only 13 minutes.
The boys regrouped and showed the true Flame resilience and banded together to work harder for each other and fight their way back into the game.
South Coast pulled one goal back through Willem Robaard in the 16th minute and were unlucky not to have levelled the score by halftime.
Flame stayed calm during halftime and identified ways to overcome the high pressure in the second half, the side were rewarded with two unanswered goals.
Willem Robaard got his second of the day, getting onto the end of a freekick taken by Jordy Marshall and looping a header into the top corner.
Willem turned provider for the third, with his powerful freekick forcing a fumble from the goalkeeper, with Jake Ueda smashing the ball into the roof of the net.
With some resolute defending and an outstanding save from Jacob Hastings off a Mounties’ freekick, the Under-15s held on for the win.

Remained a calming presence in goals after conceding twice early.
Making key saves during both halves to help the team onto victory.
U16 Boys | Mounties Wanderers 1 South Coast Flame 2
The Under-16s picked up a 2-1 win against Mounties. Mounties played a high pressing game when Flame were in possession.
The boys were on the back foot due to the physical nature of the match. South Coast went into the break 1-0 down.
At the break, the boys discussed the need to stick to their style of play and the result would come.
It was a strong finish to the game for Flame with Levi Dirks scoring an equaliser with 15 minutes to play before Nick Cadorin, who had worked hard all game, won a penalty in the final two minutes of the game.
Cassidy Mar stepped up and converted from the spot. A superb come-from-behind victory for the Under-16s.
Player of the Week: Yoan Ciugureanu
Very positive and direct at defenders.
Caused a lot of problems for the opposition.
Had several shots on target and provided good service into the opposition’s 18-yard box.
U18 Boys | Mounties Wanderers 3 South Coast Flame 2
Our Under-18’s youth boys kicked off the season with an away game against Mounties Wanderers FC.
The Flame created a number of the chances in the first half with Jay De Gouveia, Jyden Harb and Noah Duarte all looking threatening. Duarte would open the scoring for the Flame in the 27th minute with an excellent pass from Josh Busoletti finding Duarte who finished beautifully.
Flame went into the halftime break with a 1-0 lead.
A strong start to the second half from Mounties saw the home side go 2-1 up.
Flame had to rally to regain their composure with Jyden Harb converting a penalty to level the scores. However, Mounties quickly retook the lead 3-2.
A frantic end to the match saw Flame shotstopper Matt Gazivoda produce some fine saves, but Flame were unable to get back into the match.
Despite the defeat for the Flame, it was an entertaining game with plenty of goals and the boys can certainly take away some positives.
