In breaking news, Football NSW has released the 2022 Declaration of Leagues and for the first time, South Coast Flame will now have a women’s pathway.
In a first, Flame will field a Women’s First (Open) and Reserve (Under 20) team in the FNSW Women’s League 1 competition whilst our Youth Girls (formerly Conference League) will now also officially fall under the Flame banner having been accepted into the FNSW Girls League 2 program which will consist of U14, U15 and U16 Girls teams.
The news only gets better with the Skills Acquisition Program also now officially falling under the Flame banner.
The Senior Men’s teams (First and Under 20) will compete in what is now known as League 3 with no real change to the clubs in that competition.
Following a great last couple of seasons, the Youth Boys see themselves competing in the Youth League 2 competition with U13, U14, U15 , U16 and U18 teams.
South Coast Flame becomes the first local club to have all football programs i.e. Men, Women, Youth (Boys/Girls) and SAP/GSAP all playing and competing as one club.
Club Chairman John Whiddett was ecstatic with the news.
“This was always our long term plan and it’s exciting to see it come to light after just a handful of years since the club was born”.
