It was the away side who took the lead after a scrappy start to the first half.

The flame slowly grew into the game and started playing some of the football the side is capable of, stretching the opposition apart.

In the 25th minute, South Coast found an equaliser through build-up play down the right-wing with Jimmy Skarvelis crossing into the path of Willem Robaard, finishing with a clever back heel.

Again in the second half, Dunbar took the lead again, however, Flame wasn’t to be denied and showed our resilience again, when a mazy run by Logan Hedges allowed the side to equalise from the penalty spot.

The first effort was saved by the keeper, but the rebound tapped in.

Seven minutes after equalising, South Coast found the goal that would ultimately seal the victory.

The build-up play down the right-wing found our full-back, Josh Keir, in an advanced position allowing him to pick out the head of Willem Robaard with his cross.

Player of the Week: Josh Keir

Worked hard to win the ball back, showing our core principles of attitude and winning mentality. Played a pivotal role in our build-up play to create chances as a full back.

The Flame were tasked with a new playing style and with a few nervous moments early when Dunbar hit the post the boys settled into the game and didn’t look back.

The boys started controlling and dominating possession and it wasn’t long before Jyden Harb who would be the one to open the scoring for the flame finishing off what was a well-executed high press.

It would be Harb again who would double the flames lead with another excellent finish and well-executed press.

The Flame would go into the break 2-0 up and playing some very entertaining football.

As the second half would get underway Dunbar came out firing looking to upset South Coast’s playing style with a physical approach.

The Flame would not be drawn into a physical battle and just kept focusing on the task at hand.

This would pay off for the Flame as Louis Miller-Tamsitt would receive a ball just outside the Dunbar box and his long-distance strike would find the net for the third goal of the game and cap off a fantastic 3-0 win for the Flame.

Player of the Week: Louis Miller-Tamsit

Excellent performance and executed his player tasks in an unfamiliar new playing style.
