South Coast Flame FC competes in Football NSW Competitions and Programs including Boys and Girls SAP, Boys and Girls Youth League, League 1 Women’s and League 2 Men’s.
The purpose of this club is to provide opportunities for players and coaches within the region to develop under a professional and representative football structure.
Additional opportunities have arisen for Board positions and as a result, we are seeking EOI’s from members of the Illawarra Community for appointment as a Director to the South Coast Flame FC Board. Candidates will be assessed under a merit-based selection process as per the Eligibility Criteria outlined in Attachment A.
This is a working Board and candidates will be required to demonstrate their capacity to attend all required meetings.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in corporate, government, community or business organisations with a proven track record in implementing good governance practices and in collaborating with stakeholders.
Candidates with a successful record of working within Sports Administration, Finance, Business Development, Marketing and Governance are strongly encouraged to apply.

Attachment A: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR DIRECTORS
Must demonstrate a strong level of leadership skills and qualities in at least one of the following disciplines at an association, club, community or similar organisation:
- financial
- strategic planning
- business development
- marketing
- risk management and governance
- competition and football operations
- corporate sponsorships
- management
- marketing
Must demonstrate sound knowledge and experience in sports management and administration.
Must demonstrate a strong and successful record in commercial and/or business planning and operations.
Must demonstrate a proven business oriented written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to demonstrate a capacity to prepare written submissions and make public presentations and addresses.
Must be able to demonstrate the capacity and availability to attend all Board Meetings (set annual attendance quotas apply), and other Board Sub-Committee, as required. These meetings may take place during and after business hours and on weekends.
Must have demonstrated strong links across the local social and business communities.
