Our GSAP teams had the opportunity to participate in The Sydney FC Cup Tournament for U11’s and U13’s at the home of The Sky Blues in North Ryde Sydney. With 3 teams competing, we had 2 full days of games, and all 3 teams did exceptionally well.

We are extremely proud of our Under 10 GSAP team competing as ‘South Coast Flame Blue’ in the U11 competition making it through to the semi-finals and placing 4^th in the Sydney FC Shield Competition. Coach Anthony was so impressed with the girls efforts and hard work in every game, as they played against some very talented teams from across Sydney and even the Gold Coast.

Our Under 11 GSAP team competing as ‘South Coast Flame Yellow’ went right through their pool to the Grand Final and in a very exciting game won the Sydney FC Shield Competition Final which is an outstanding achievement! Coach James was extremely proud of the girls and believed their dedication and drive to win gave them the edge.

The Under 13’s GSAP team played some great football in the Sydney FC Plate Competition and unfortunately lost the quarter-final in a penalty shoot-out against Eastern Suburbs. Coach Mick was proud of the girls commitment to each game and was happy with their determination and perseverance over the 2 days.

Technical Director Michael Southwell was proud of all our GSAP players who represented the Club with pride and passion. It was a fantastic tournament, and all the girls leave with a sense of achievement and excitement about being part of this great event. They learnt so much about game strategies, technical ability and endurance, all great skills which they will bring back to their own competition this weekend.
