The South Coast Flame Women’s team had a difficult defeat going down to University Yellow 5-0 at Ian McLennan Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Flame girls were looking to test themselves against another top of the table team and improve on last week’s performance.

University came out hard and fast and it wasn’t long until they scored to take the lead.

The Flame girls reacted and dominated possession for the next 15 minutes but could not convert any chances.

The Unicorns showed their class by following up with two more goals on the counterattack before halftime.

At the break, the girls came out looking to get a goal back early, but University were resisting all attacking motions.

The Flame again had a few clear chances but could not convert them.

University scored another two goals, making any comeback unattainable.
